KATHUA, APRIL 06: The District Level Monitoring Committee (DLMC) for Nutrition under ICDS reviewed the implementation of the Supplementary Nutrition Programme at a meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Sharma.
The review focused on procurement, quality standards, distribution, and monitoring to ensure timely delivery of nutritious food to children, pregnant women, and lactating mothers through Anganwadi Centres (AWCs).
The DC directed strict quality checks, regular AWC inspections, and emphasized coordination among ICDS, Health, Education, and allied departments for effective service delivery.
Programme Officer ICDS Mohammed Syed presented an overview of Poshan activities, while Chief Planning Officer Ranjeet Thakur, District Social Welfare Officer, CDPOs, and other committee members participated.
