New Delhi, April 10 Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Ltd (IFFCO) has launched a nationwide campaign to raise awareness about nano liquid fertilisers and reduce the use of conventional soil nutrients.

In a statement on Friday, the cooperative organization said it has launched 'IFFCO Nano Urvarak Jagrukta Maha Abhiyaan' to promote the adoption of nano fertilisers among Indian farmers.

The campaign will cover 560 districts and 3,477 tehsils across 19 states and Union Territories.

Dileep Sanghani, Chairman of IFFCO, said, "India stands today at a historic crossroads where tradition meets technology, and it is this confluence that is charting a new direction for Indian agriculture".

The chairman emphasized that the objectives of this campaign are the large-scale promotion of Nano Urea Plus, Nano DAP, Nano NPK, Nano Zinc, and Nano Copper; training farmers in the correct application, primarily through foliar spray; reducing dependence on conventional fertilisers; and ensuring last-mile reach through the cooperative network.

IFFCO has achieved sales of over 218 lakh bottles of Nano Urea Plus Liquid and more than 64.26 lakh bottles of Nano DAP Liquid. Its Nano Zinc and Nano Copper products also recorded first-year sales of 57 lakh and 2 lakh bottles, respectively.

Sanghani emphasized that "a single 500 ml bottle of Nano Urea Plus delivers far superior nutrient efficiency compared to conventional urea, while simultaneously addressing the pressing challenges of soil health degradation, water pollution, and India's fertiliser import dependence".
