April 7th, Aizawl: The main graduation ceremony was held at the Baba Saheb Ambedkar Convention Centre at the IGNOU Headquarters in Maidan Garhi, New Delhi, in the presence of Vice President CP Radhakrishnan. Simultaneously, the graduation ceremony was held at the 39 IGNOU Regional Centres across India, where a total of 313,770 students were awarded their degrees.
Attending as the Chief Guest in Aizawl, NIT Mizoram Director Prof. Dr. S. Sundar praised IGNOU for providing practical, skill-based education. He urged graduates to continuously upskill to navigate and seize new opportunities in today's rapidly evolving, AI-driven job market.
Senior Regional Director Dr. S.R. Zonunthara presented the graduation report. The 1,200 local graduates included 501 Master's, 624 Bachelor's, 2 Post Graduate Diplomas, 12 Diplomas, and 49 Certificate learners.
