Port Louis (Mauritius), April 8 Gaganjeet Bhullar, a winner of eleven Asian Tour events and four IGPL tournaments, is confident of a strong performance at the AM Green IGPL Invitational 2026, hosted by Leander Paes in Mauritius.

The 37-year-old Bhullar had won the opening IGPL Tour event in Chandigarh last month.

"Winning is what we all aim for, and that's my goal this week as well. Last year, I won the first two events in Chandigarh and Greater Noida, and I hope I can achieve that again," said Bhullar, who is also aware that the competition in the IGPL is very strong, with talented players like Karandeep Kochhar and Pukhraj Singh Gill.

Bhullar, who arrived in Mauritius on Tuesday, said, "I just arrived (in Mauritius). I'm going to play a practice round. However, I did play an event here a few years ago. It's a beautiful golf course.

"I think it's a great achievement for IGPL to come all the way to Mauritius. It's a beautiful place, and it's a great experience for many young players who haven't played so many tournaments outside India to come here."

Bhullar, who played in this event in the past, when it was co-sanctioned by the Asian and European Tours, is now looking forward to this week's event and adding it to his list of accomplishments.

On the season so far, he added, "I had a great start in the IGPL. I won my first event this year, and my goal is to build on that momentum and continue to perform well."
