JAMMU, MARCH 02: The six-day Capacity Building and Skill Enhancement Programme for officers and officials of the Department of Information and Public Relations concluded at the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Jammu.

Approximately 50 DIPR personnel underwent intensive training in applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and contemporary media practices, including print, electronic, and digital communication.

Regional Director IIMC Jammu, Dilip Kumar, congratulated the participants and encouraged them to apply modern media skills in their professional roles. Joint Director (HQ), DIPR, Zahoor Ahmad Raina, expressed confidence that the training would strengthen departmental communication.

The programme, held from February 23 to March 2, 2026, covered AI fundamentals, crisis communication, fact-checking, print production, electronic media practices, and emerging trends such as deep-fake detection and AI-driven content creation. Certificates were awarded to the participants at the concluding session.
