
One hundred trainees from across India completed the fourth snow skiing course at the Indian Institute of Skiing and Mountaineering in Gulmarg.
February 27, Srinagar: The fourth snow skiing course concluded at the Indian Institute of Skiing and Mountaineering in Gulmarg, with participants from across the country completing specialized training.
The course was conducted under the leadership of Col. I.S. Thapa, principal of the Indian Institute of Skiing and Mountaineering, with the objective of promoting winter sports and adventure tourism in India.
Senior Superintendent of Police Baramulla Gurvinder Pal Singh attended the closing ceremony as chief guest and distributed certificates to participants and awards to position holders.
A total of 100 trainees from different parts of the country took part in the course and completed various training modules.
Addressing the gathering, the SSP said the institute provides a platform where youth from across the country begin building their foundation in winter sports.
