Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, April 10 A tehsildar in the Hingoli district of Maharashtra was placed under suspension for alleged negligence in preventing illegal mining, a revenue department official said on Friday.
The order to suspend Vasmat tehsildar Sharada Dalvi under the Maharashtra Civil Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules of 1979 was issued on Thursday, he added.
"Dalvi was suspended due to negligence in illegal sand mining and transit after the department received complaints. Dalvi has been asked to report to the office of the collector and not leave the district headquarters without permission," the official added.
