India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for thunderstorm accompanied by hailstorm over Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, East Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Punjab today.
Met Department also predicted heavy rainfall likely at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya for the day. The weather agency has further forecast thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty winds at isolated places over Bihar, Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Sikkim and West Rajasthan for today.
