The government of Jammu and Kashmir has approved ₹3.35 crore for the construction of a helipad and waiting lounge in Qasab, Poonch.

Minister Javed Ahmed Rana expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for approving the project.

In a social media post, the Minister stated that the new infrastructure will significantly strengthen emergency response services and improve accessibility for residents in remote areas.

He said the helipad will be particularly beneficial during medical emergencies and disaster situations, enabling faster evacuation and better connectivity for people living in Mendhar and surrounding areas.

Officials said the project is expected to enhance emergency preparedness and provide vital connectivity support to residents of remote regions in the district.
