New train stop in Udalguri
With the aim of strengthening rail connectivity in the Northeast, Indian Railways has introduced several new train services in Assam. As part of this initiative, the new New Tinsukia-Tambaram Express was formally launched.
To further boost connectivity, an official stop for the train was inaugurated at the Udalguri Railway Station. BTC Executive Member Ajay Kumar Hazarika flagged off the train from Udalguri, marking a significant step towards improving rail connectivity in the region.
Assistant Commissioner of Udalguri, Ananya Dutta, along with other officials and distinguished guests, was present at the event. The new stop is expected to benefit passengers and enhance transport links between Assam and southern India.
