New Delhi, February 19 The prices of cottonseed oil cake rose by Rs 12 to Rs 3,270 per quintal in futures trading on Thursday, as speculators created fresh positions due to increased demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for March delivery traded higher by Rs 12, or 0.37 per cent, at Rs 3,270 per quintal, with an open interest of 59,690 lots.
Market participants said that the increase in positions by participants, primarily due to increasing demand for cattle feed, mainly influenced the prices of cottonseed oil cake.
