Increased Revenue and Discipline: Jammu Railway Addresses Ticketless Travel.webp

The Jammu division of Northern Railway generated approximately ₹62 lakh in revenue during March, the final month of the 2025-26 financial year, through its most extensive campaign against unauthorized travel and irregularities. Akashvani Jammu correspondent reports that around 11,000 offenders were penalized under a "Zero Tolerance" campaign led by Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Uchit Singhal. This achievement not only signifies an increase in revenue but also marks a significant step towards ensuring discipline and transparency within railway services. Intensive checks were conducted at entry and exit points of major stations, including Jammu, Katra, Budgam, and Srinagar. Authorities have urged passengers to travel with valid tickets, calling the campaign a step towards discipline and transparency.
