New Delhi, March 27 Galgotias University was removed from the India AI Impact Expo after it made a misleading statement about a robotic product, Parliament was informed on Friday.

Minister of State for Electronics and IT, Jitin Prasada, in a written reply to the Rajya Sabha, said that more than 900 companies, start-ups, and academic institutions participated in the expo and showcased the latest technologies and AI-based solutions to a global audience.

"One of the exhibitors, Galgotias University, made a misleading statement about a robotic product. Following this, they were removed from the India AI Impact Expo," Prasada said.

The expo was held along with the India AI Impact Summit 2026 from February 16 to 21, 2026, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

More than 100 countries, including 22 heads of state or government, and around 10 international organizations participated in the summit.

The summit witnessed extensive participation, with approximately 6 lakh people visiting the expo and over 9 lakh cumulative views through virtual mode, Prasada said.

"The AI Impact Summit concluded with the Summit Declaration, endorsed by 92 countries and international organizations. They collectively affirmed their commitment to trusted, inclusive, democratic, and human-centric AI norms," he said.

The summit witnessed investment commitments of more than USD 250 billion. Significant investment commitments were made by companies in associated technologies, such as submarine cables, at the summit.
