The India AI Impact Summit 2026 concluded at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi yesterday, with strong global endorsement of India's vision for responsible AI. Addressing the concluding press conference in New Delhi, Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said the AI Impact Summit has been a resounding success on many fronts. Mr. Vaishnaw stated that over five lakh visitors have attended the exhibition, learned a great deal, and interacted with many experts from around the world.

He elaborated that practically every major AI player in the world participated in large numbers. Mr. Vaishnaw added that many startups had the opportunity to showcase their work, and the quality of the discussions was exceptional. The Minister highlighted that there were numerous investment pledges, amounting to over $250 billion for infrastructure-related investments and approximately $20 billion for venture capital deep tech investments, which have been committed by investors.

The Minister also thanked the youth who supported the Summit and embraced it positively.

Addressing the media, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal described the event as a resounding success. He stated that 20 world leaders attended the AI summit, and 45 delegations representing ministerial-level officials from around the world were present. He said that 100 countries were represented at this particular summit, with a strong focus on the global south.
