The Indian Armed Forces contingent has arrived in Seychelles to participate in the eleventh edition of the Joint Military Exercise LAMITIYE-2026 with the Seychelles Defence Forces. The joint exercise will begin at the Seychelles Defence Academy today and continue until the 20th of this month. The exercise will enhance synergy in the areas of unconventional operations in a semi-urban environment and cooperation and interoperability between the two sides during peacekeeping operations. It will also foster and promote bilateral military relations, along with the exchange of skills, experiences, and best practices between the two armies. The 12-day joint exercise will include field training exercises, combat discussions, case studies, lectures, and demonstrations, culminating in a two-day validation exercise.
