
March 18, New Delhi — A meeting was held on Wednesday in the annex of the Indian Parliament complex between the Indian and United Kingdom parliamentary commerce delegations.
The UK delegation, consisting of eight members, attended the meeting, during which both countries engaged in serious discussions on various proposals related to mutual trade and investment.
Speaking at the meeting alongside Dola Sen, chairman of the Standing Committee on Commerce, Liam Byrne, Chairman of the Business and Trade Committee of the UK Parliament, said that the UK and India have signed one of the most significant recent free trade agreements, and we share a strong commitment to ensuring it benefits the people.
