
The Foreign Minister of Bangladesh, Khalilur Rahman, who is on a three-day visit to India, arrived in New Delhi this evening. Spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs, Randhir Jaiswal, welcomed Mr. Rahman in a social media post. He stated that India and Bangladesh share warm and historic ties based on strong people-to-people relations. Mr. Jaiswal also said that Mr. Rahman's visit will further strengthen the India-Bangladesh partnership.
During his visit, Mr. Rahman will meet with External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar. He is also expected to meet National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri. This marks the first visit to New Delhi by a Bangladeshi minister since the BNP-led government took office in February.
