Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal met with Senior Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Barbados, Christopher Peter Sinckler, in Yaoundé, Cameroon. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 14th Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization (WTO). In a social media post, Mr. Goyal stated that during the meeting, both sides exchanged views on the agenda of the Ministerial Conference, including WTO reforms. He also added that both sides discussed avenues to boost bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest for both countries. Mr. Goyal also met with UK Secretary of State for Business and Trade, Peter Kyle. The Minister said that during the meeting, they reviewed progress towards the implementation of the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement, which was signed between the two countries last year. He also acknowledged Mr. Kyle's academic background in rural development.
