
Beijing, March 12 India's Consul General in Shanghai, Pratik Mathur, met with Carrie Suen, Vice President and Head of Global Affairs and Strategic Development at AntGroup, on Thursday, and discussed new opportunities for collaboration in various sectors.
AntGroup is one of China's leading innovative technology providers in healthcare.
The discussions, which took place against the backdrop of India's approval on Tuesday to ease foreign direct investment norms for China, focused on new opportunities in sectors such as fintech innovation, digital economy opportunities, and deepening economic ties, according to a press release from the Consulate.
The discussions highlighted how advanced technology and sustainable development can drive inclusive growth, as is being seen in our two countries, Mathur said.
He also emphasized that strengthening sustainable development partnerships will also empower the Global South through ensuring digital transformation and building cost-effective solutions that ensure prosperity for all, the release said.
