India Embassy Issues Safety Instructions for Nationals in Iran.webp

Given the rapidly changing situation in Iran, the Ministry of External Affairs has advised Indian nationals currently in Iran to remain in their current locations, shelter in place, and avoid further movement. The ministry stated that any movement within Iran or to the borders of Iran should only be undertaken in close coordination with the Indian Embassy in Tehran and after obtaining explicit guidance from the Embassy.

Meanwhile, the Indian Embassy in Iran has advised Indian nationals still in Iran to remain in their current locations for the next 48 hours. It has urged citizens to avoid all electrical and military installations and the upper floors of multi-story buildings; to remain indoors; and to coordinate any highway movement strictly with the Embassy. It has also stated that those staying in Embassy-hired hotels should remain indoors while maintaining regular contact with on-site embassy teams. It has requested that Indian nationals closely monitor official updates. The Embassy can be contacted through the following mobile numbers: +989128109115, +989128109109, +989128109102, and +989932179359. The Embassy's email address is [email protected].
