March 11, New Delhi – India has strongly condemned the attack on a Thai ship in the Strait of Hormuz, which was en route to Kandla in Gujarat.
In a statement, the government expressed its deep concern over the targeting of commercial shipping during the ongoing conflict in West Asia.
India noted that several lives, including those of Indian citizens, have already been lost in such attacks during the earlier phase of the conflict.
The government also expressed concern that the intensity and lethality of these attacks appear to be increasing, posing serious risks to maritime safety and global trade routes.
