
March 11, New Delhi – India is experiencing contrasting weather conditions, with heatwave alerts in western states and storm warnings in northern and eastern regions.
The India Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for severe heat and hot-humid conditions in Gujarat, while Rajasthan, Maharashtra, and Goa remain under alerts for hot and humid weather.
At the same time, Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh in northern India are likely to experience thunderstorms and heavy rainfall, indicating unstable weather patterns.
In eastern India, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha, along with several states in the Northeast, have been placed under a yellow alert for thunderstorms and lightning, prompting authorities to advise caution as the country experiences sharply contrasting weather conditions.
