March 16, New Delhi — Weather warnings have been issued across various parts of India due to a western disturbance causing unstable conditions. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued warnings for thunderstorms, hailstorms, and heavy rainfall in multiple regions.

The IMD has issued an orange alert for hailstorms and thunderstorms in Uttarakhand, East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, and Gangetic West Bengal. Several southern states are also under a yellow alert, with the IMD forecasting thunderstorms and strong winds in parts of the region.

A yellow alert has been issued across northern India due to the western disturbance, with thunderstorms and isolated heavy snowfall expected in Jammu and Kashmir.

Across the northeastern region, several states remain under lightning alerts, while Assam and Meghalaya are expected to experience heavy rainfall along with thunderstorms.
