February 26, Jerusalem – Prime Minister Narendra Modi concluded his two-day visit to Israel on February 26th. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara personally saw him off at Ben Gurion Airport, symbolizing the strong India-Israel friendship.

During his visit, Prime Minister Modi addressed a Special Plenary of the Knesset in Jerusalem, making him the first Indian Prime Minister to address the Israeli parliament.

After his address, the Prime Minister was awarded the "Medal of the Knesset" by Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana. The Prime Minister dedicated the honour to the enduring friendship between India and Israel.

On the second day of the visit, PM Modi held delegation-level talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Both leaders discussed the entire range of bilateral relations, along with regional and global interests.

Following the talks, India and Israel signed 27 agreements, strengthening ties across multiple sectors. The partnerships span emerging and strategic domains, including Artificial Intelligence, Quantum technologies, and critical minerals, signaling a major push towards future-ready collaboration.

Earlier, PM Modi held talks with Israeli President Isaac Herzog at the Presidential residence. They discussed various aspects of the India-Israel friendship. Both leaders explored avenues to further enhance cooperation in education, start-ups, innovation, technology, and connectivity. The two leaders also participated in the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' (One Tree for Mother Earth) initiative by planting a tree.

During the visit, Prime Minister Modi also paid tribute at Yad Vashem, the World Holocaust Remembrance Center. Accompanied by Prime Minister Netanyahu, he visited the Book of Names Hall and participated in a memorial ceremony, laying a wreath in honour of Holocaust victims.
