India AI and Intel India have set a new world record in the category of "most pledges received for an AI responsibility campaign in 24 hours." More than 2.5 lakh students took the pledge as part of the campaign. Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology, Ashwini Vaishnaw, stated that this achievement reflects the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He highlighted that the Ministry reached out to colleges, students, and faculty members across the country, encouraging them to pledge to use AI ethically and responsibly. The Minister also noted that this is the direction in which the country should lead the thought process regarding Responsible AI. He also congratulated and thanked the entire team for this achievement.
