Mumbai, April 8 Tourism New Zealand announced on Wednesday that it has appointed Tishtar Parakh as the Country Manager for India.

Based in Mumbai, Parakh will lead Tourism New Zealand's efforts to increase visitor demand and further strengthen and grow trade and industry partnerships in the Indian market.

Prior to joining Tourism New Zealand, Parakh served as the Travel Trade Lead at VisitBritain, where she co-led destination marketing initiatives across trade and consumer segments in India, a statement said.

Eco Hotels and Resorts partners with Riya Travels to expand global reach

* Eco Hotels and Resorts announced on Wednesday a strategic partnership with travel and aviation service provider Riya Travel & Tours to strengthen its distribution network and enhance visibility across domestic and international markets.

Through this partnership, Eco Hotels will gain access to Riya Group's extensive B2B ecosystem, which supports over 75,000 travel agents via its proprietary platform, Riya Connect, Eco Hotels and Resorts said in a statement.

ITC Hotels announces 50th signing for brand Welcomhotel

* ITC Hotels announced on Wednesday the 50th hotel signing for the Welcomhotel brand in India, with the addition of new hotels in Shirdi and Bhubaneshwar to the portfolio.

ITC Hotels has entered into definitive agreements with Sandy Resort Private Limited to operate their upcoming 73-room hotel in Shirdi, Maharashtra.

The new alliance between the two companies also extends to a second 84-room hotel in Bhubaneshwar, Odisha, under the Welcomhotel brand, a statement said.

With these two new signings, the Welcomhotel brand portfolio consists of 51 hotels with over 5,500 keys, including 30 operating hotels and 21 in the pipeline.
