March 24, New Delhi — The Indian Embassy in Kathmandu celebrated the Golden Jubilee Scholarship Day, honoring Nepali students who have benefited from the flagship program.

Established in 2002 to commemorate 50 years of India-Nepal economic cooperation, the scholarship now supports 200 students annually, with over 3,500 beneficiaries across all 77 districts of Nepal.

The Indian government offers approximately 1,500 scholarships each year across various disciplines, with nearly 40,000 Nepali students benefiting since 2001.
