New Delhi, March 26 – Temples across the country, adorned with colourful flowers and lights, resonated with prayers as people celebrated Ram Navami with religious fervor on Thursday. Vibrant processions filled the streets, while special prayers and community feasts were organized in various states.
Devotees thronged temples since early morning, amidst strong security arrangements put in place by authorities to prevent any untoward incident. Elaborate processions, known as "shobha yatras," were taken out in different parts of the country, with devotees chanting "Jai Shri Ram," carrying saffron flags, and participating in cultural performances.
In Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, considered the birthplace of Lord Ram, the main celebration will be held on Friday, with an expected turnout of over a lakh devotees at the Ram Janmabhoomi temple.
