India Monitors Airspace, Announces Increased Gulf Flights.webp

March 09, New Delhi – India's Ministry of Civil Aviation is closely monitoring the evolving airspace situation in West Asia amid the ongoing regional conflict.

Indian airlines, including Air India, Air India Express, IndiGo, SpiceJet, and Akasa Air, are planning to operate approximately 50 inbound flights on Monday, March 9, from key Gulf airports.

These flights are expected from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Muscat, and Jeddah, subject to operational feasibility and prevailing conditions.

A total of 49 such flights were successfully operated on Sunday.

Airlines are also assessing additional airports to expand their operations. The ministry stated that it remains in constant coordination with stakeholders and is closely monitoring airfares to prevent any undue surges.

Passengers have been urged to contact airlines for real-time updates on flight schedules and safety measures.
