Nepal Ambassador Shankar Prasad Sharma expressed confidence that the new government in Nepal will further strengthen ties with India following the recent elections in the country. Mr. Sharma stated that the elections for the House of Representatives in Nepal were conducted peacefully and on time, reflecting the country's stable democratic process.
Regarding the India-Nepal bilateral relations, he said that both countries already have a very strong relationship, and the new government will strive to take it to a new level. The Nepal Ambassador also appreciated the gesture by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who congratulated the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) following the election results.
