
March 24, New Delhi – Defence Minister Rajnath Singh reviewed the situation in West Asia and its impact on India's defence preparedness during a meeting with the Chief of Defence Staff, the Service Chiefs, the Defence Secretary, the Defence Production Secretary, and the Chief of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) in New Delhi on Tuesday.
The minister was briefed on global and regional security scenarios, the potential impact of an escalation of ongoing conflicts on India, as well as the challenges and opportunities presented by the current geopolitical situation.
The impact of the West Asian conflict on supply chain management, particularly in the procurement and production of defence equipment, including the maintenance and serviceability of existing equipment, was also examined.
