New Delhi, April 2 BJP national president Nitin Nabin said on Thursday that the India-Russia relationship remains a "time-tested partnership" characterized by deep trust and mutual respect, as he met a high-level delegation from Russia's ruling United Russia Party, led by its general council secretary, Vladimir Yakushev.

He said the strong personal chemistry between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Vladimir Putin has added new energy and direction to bilateral ties.

Nabin shared insights into the BJP's vision, organizational structure, and its people-centric approach to political engagement, and highlighted the 'Know BJP' initiative as an important platform to enhance international understanding, encourage the exchange of ideas, and strengthen ties with political parties and leaders across the world.

Both leaders emphasized the importance of women's participation and youth empowerment, with Nabin noting that structured training programs and grassroots engagement initiatives ensure that party workers remain connected, informed, and responsive to the aspirations of the people, a press statement stated.

During the interaction here, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen party-to-party engagement through structured dialogue at various levels of leadership, fostering greater exchange of ideas, best practices, and deeper institutional cooperation, it added.

The interaction reflected a shared commitment to strengthening organizational linkages and promoting continued dialogue between the two parties, further reinforcing the enduring partnership between India and Russia.

Nabin was accompanied by BJP national general secretary Arun Singh and the party's foreign affairs department in-charge Vijay Chauthaiwale.
