
April 08, New Delhi: India's Ministry of External Affairs welcomed the two-week ceasefire between the US and Iran, expressing hope that it will lead to lasting peace in West Asia.
In a statement on Wednesday, the ministry emphasized that de-escalation, dialogue, and diplomacy remain essential to end the conflict. The statement also highlighted the conflict's impact on global energy supplies and trade, urging that the Strait of Hormuz remain open for unimpeded navigation and commerce.
