The Indian Army hosted a community Iftar in Mandi today, bringing together residents from different communities in a spirit of unity and harmony during the holy month of Ramadan. The event saw enthusiastic participation from people of all communities, reflecting the region's long-standing tradition of communal harmony.

The Iftar gathering was organized under the auspices of the 6th Rajput regiment, with Commanding Officer Awdesh Singh joining the event along with the Naib Tehsildar of Mandi, Army personnel, and local residents. The occasion provided an opportunity for the Army and the local population to interact and strengthen their bond in a friendly and cordial atmosphere.

Residents from different parts of Poonch participated in the gathering and shared the traditional Iftar meal together. Colonel Awdesh Singh, along with other Army officers and soldiers, also joined the meal, highlighting the close relationship between the Army and the local community.

Speaking on the occasion, Moulvi Fareed, a social activist from Mandi, said that such initiatives help promote peace, mutual trust, and communal harmony among the people. He also thanked the Army for organizing the community Iftar for the residents of the area.
