
The Indian Army organized a special community Iftar for local residents in Poonch, bringing together people from different communities in a spirit of unity and goodwill during the holy month of Ramadan.
The event was organized under the auspices of the 93 Infantry Brigade, with Brigade Commander Sachindra Joshi joining the event along with Deputy Commissioner Poonch Ashok Kumar Sharma, Army personnel, and local residents.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from people belonging to different communities, reflecting the region's tradition of communal harmony. Residents from across the district gathered to share the traditional Iftar meal in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Brigadier Sachindra Joshi, along with Army officers and soldiers, also participated in the meal, highlighting the close bond between the Army and the local community.
Speaking to the media, Farooq Misvahi, Imam of Markazi Jamia Masjid Poonch, said that such initiatives help strengthen mutual trust, promote peace, and encourage harmony among all sections of society. He also thanked the Army for organizing the community Iftar.
