Indian Army Hosts Iftar in Poonch, Fostering Community Unity.webp

The Indian Army organized a special Iftar gathering for local residents of Gulpur, Degwar, Ajote, Khari, and Dharamsal in Poonch, bringing together people from different communities in a spirit of unity and goodwill during the holy month of Ramadan.

The community Iftar saw enthusiastic participation from residents of several villages, reflecting the region's long-standing tradition of communal harmony. The gathering was hosted by Army authorities, with the Commanding Officer interacting with the locals in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Among those present was Azhar Majid, Tehsildar of Ghaveli, along with Army personnel and prominent members of the local community. Residents from different parts of the district shared the traditional Iftar meal with Army officers and soldiers, highlighting the strong bond between the security forces and the civilian population.

Social activist Choudhary Fazal praised the initiative and said such programs help strengthen mutual trust, promote peace, and encourage harmony among all sections of society. He also thanked the Army for organizing the community Iftar.
