
UDHAMPUR, FEBRUARY 26: The Indian Army organized a first-of-its-kind meeting of all Zila Sainik Board officers of Jammu & Kashmir at Dhruva Command Udhampur, chaired by Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, Army Commander, Northern Command.
The meeting brought together nine Zila Sainik Board officers, Directors of the Rajya Sainik Board, and the Regional Centre ECHS, Jammu, to discuss veteran welfare, including support for war widows, rehabilitation, resettlement, and healthcare. Key initiatives identified include promoting entrepreneurship, engaging youth, fostering collaboration between civilians and veterans, and utilizing veterans as first responders.
The Army pledged full support to ensure that no ex-serviceman or family is left behind, marking a significant step toward comprehensive veteran welfare in J&K.
