
Indian boxers will kick off their campaign at the Asian Championships in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, tomorrow. This tournament marks the beginning of a busy season, which also includes the 2026 Commonwealth Games, the 2026 Asian Games, and the World Boxing Cup Finals in Uzbekistan.
These championships hold particular significance, as the finalists will secure direct qualification for the Commonwealth Games and Asian Games, according to the selection policy of the Boxing Federation of India.
The Indian team has been training in Mongolia for the past 15 days, participating in multinational camps and sparring with boxers from various countries.
In the women's category, Lovlina Borgohain, Nikhat Zareen, Minakshi Hooda, and Jaismine Lamboria will lead the challenge. In the men's section, the focus will be on Jadumani Singh, Sachin Siwach, and Narender Berwal.
