Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw stated that Indian Railways has deployed advanced AI and Machine Learning devices to enhance safety and operational efficiency through smart monitoring. He made this statement in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha today. He explained that the TRI-Netra System is being developed to assist loco pilots with improved vision in foggy and adverse weather conditions. The Minister also mentioned that Integrated Track Monitoring Systems are being deployed for comprehensive inspection and monitoring of railway tracks.
