March 13, New Delhi – Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev set up a semifinal meeting at the Indian Wells Open after winning their respective quarterfinal matches in straight sets.

World number two Sinner defeated local favorite Learner Tien, securing a dominant 6-1, 6-2 victory.

Meanwhile, Zverev proved too strong for French 30th seed Arthur Fils, winning 6-2, 6-3.

Sinner has won five of the six Masters 1000 titles, with the Indian Wells trophy being the only one missing from his collection.

Aryna Sabalenka kept her bid for a first Indian Wells singles title alive, winning in straight sets to secure a semifinal spot.

The Belarusian world number one defeated rising Canadian star and tenth seed Victoria Mboko to reach the semifinals.

She will face Linda Noskova, who will compete in the second WTA 1000 semifinal of her career.

Noskova reached the Indian Wells semifinals for the first time in her career, defeating Australian qualifier Talia Gibson.
