
February 19, New Delhi: Tata Sons Chairman N. Chandrasekaran emphasized that India is developing artificial intelligence on a large scale, with a focus on trust, resilience, and long-term competitiveness. He stated that the country has recognized AI as a strategic national capability, integrating all aspects – from chips to systems, energy, and applications – through initiatives like Semicon India, the India AI Mission, and key reforms such as the Shakti Act for clean energy.
Chandrasekaran added that AI is the next major infrastructure that will have a profound impact on society, comparable to other transformative technologies.
