The third day of the India AI Impact Summit began with the opening ceremony of the research symposium, during which Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw emphasized that India is strongly focused on using AI to solve real-world problems. He stated that the country is prioritizing the use of AI to improve productivity in businesses and to address large-scale challenges such as healthcare, agriculture, and climate change.
Later in the day, Mr. Vaishnaw announced that India had set a Guinness World Record with over 250,000 AI Responsibility Pledges made within 24 hours at the AI Summit. Guinness World Records adjudicator Pravin Patel said that the record-breaking participation exceeded the initial target of 5,000 pledges. He added that this reflects strong public engagement and growing awareness regarding responsible AI adoption.
Meanwhile, the Government has extended the India AI Impact Expo by one day until the 21st of this month, due to the overwhelming response from exhibitors, innovators, and visitors.
