State Minister for External Affairs, Kirti Vardhan Singh, emphasized today that stable maritime growth is essential for the Global South. Delivering remarks on the second day of the Raisina Dialogue 2026 in New Delhi, he stressed that India's decisions are guided by national interests and are not aligned with any single bloc. The Minister added that the country consistently upholds freedom of navigation and opposes unilateral attempts to change the current situation in the Indo-Pacific.
Further, Mr. Singh noted that whether in Ukraine or West Asia, India consistently emphasizes dialogue and diplomacy while advancing initiatives such as the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor to promote connectivity and stability. He said that India shares a vision for a free, open, inclusive, and cooperative Indo-Pacific with the United States, while with Europe, India's cooperation rests on shared democratic values and pragmatic negotiations. The Minister highlighted that as India assumes the BRICS chairmanship, it focuses on four key pillars, including resilience, innovation, cooperation, and sustainability.
