New Delhi, March 18 The fertilizer major, IFFCO, announced on Wednesday that it has received government approval to manufacture and sell two new products, nano NPK liquid and nano NPK granular, which will help reduce the use of chemical fertilizers.

IFFCO has already launched nano liquid urea and nano liquid DAP (di-ammonium phosphate) in the market.

In a statement, IFFCO said that it has indigenously developed Nano NPK Liquid (8-8-10) and Nano NPK Granular (20-10-10).

"Both these products have now been duly approved under the Fertilizer Control Order (FCO), as notified in the recent Gazette of India," the statement said.

Nano NPK Liquid is designed for foliar nutrition, while Nano NPK Solid (20-10-10) is a novel nano formulation catering to both soil application and root feeding.

Together, these two products enable precise and targeted nutrient delivery aligned with peak crop requirements.

"This breakthrough is a significant step in serving Indian farmers, ensuring enhanced nutrient use efficiency, improved soil health, and higher crop productivity," the statement said.

These products would substantially reduce the need for conventional chemical fertilizers and lower input costs, besides improving productivity and quality of crops.

"In the prevailing global scenario marked by geopolitical uncertainties affecting fertilizer supply chains, this development stands as a matter of great importance for the nation. It significantly contributes to India's journey towards self-reliance in fertilizers by reducing import dependency and conserving valuable foreign exchange," IFFCO said.

IFFCO is one of the largest fertilizer firms in the country.
