
External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar emphasized the urgency of reforming the UN Security Council, streamlining peacekeeping operations, and strengthening humanitarian supply chains during the G7 Foreign Ministers' Meeting (G7 FMM) yesterday. The G7 FMM is being held at the Abbaye des Vaux-de-Cernay in France. In a social media post, Dr. Jaishankar stated that he discussed the need for global governance reform. Specifically, he addressed the concerns of the Global South regarding energy challenges, fertilizer supplies, and food security.
The External Affairs Minister is on a two-day visit to France to attend the G7 Foreign Ministers' Meeting.
