
External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar met with leaders from various countries on the sidelines of the Raisina Dialogue 2026 in New Delhi. Dr. Jaishankar held bilateral discussions with his counterparts from Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Mauritius, Kenya, Malta, Seychelles, and Rwanda yesterday.
In a social media post, Dr. Jaishankar stated that during his meeting with Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath, the two leaders had a warm discussion about their bilateral relations and the regional situation. He emphasized that Vision MAHASAGAR and Neighbourhood First continue to guide their efforts.
During his interaction with Bhutanese counterpart Lyonpo D.N. Dhungyel, both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening their unique partnership.
In his meeting with Mauritian Foreign Minister Dhananjay Ritish Ramful, Dr. Jaishankar said they emphasized their commitment to further enhanced strategic partnership.
With his Kenyan counterpart Musalia W. Mudavadi, the External Affairs Minister discussed realizing the full potential of their ties. In his interaction with Malta's Foreign Affairs Minister, Ian Borg, Dr. Jaishankar appreciated his insights on the maritime industry.
With Seychelles' Foreign Minister Barry Faure, the External Affairs Minister discussed the follow-up to the recent presidential visit.
Dr. Jaishankar also held talks with his Rwandan counterpart, Olivier J.P. Nduhungirehe, last evening. He said their conversation focused on taking forward their economic and digital cooperation.
