April 09, New Delhi - India’s Minakshi defeated the home favourite, Nomundari Enkh-Amgalan, 5-0 to win the gold medal at the Asian Boxing Championships in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
Minakshi continues her excellent form from last year, when she won the World Championships gold in Liverpool, England.
In the 54 kg category, Preeti Pawar also won gold at the Asian Boxing Championships. In the final match, Preeti defeated Huang Hsiao-wen, a three-time world champion and a Tokyo 2020 Olympic bronze medallist.
