
March 25, New Delhi – The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas announced major reforms in the natural gas sector to simplify business and stimulate growth.
Secretary Neeraj Mittal highlighted that, under the guidance of the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, India’s City Gas Distribution (CGD) network is set to expand rapidly, with GAIL (India) Limited and the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board leading the efforts.
Secretary Neeraj Mittal posted on X stating, "With the guidance of the Prime Minister’s Office and Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri, the natural gas infrastructure—PNG and CNG—is experiencing major reforms that ease business, leading to rapid expansion of the CGD network across the country. A crisis has turned into an opportunity. India’s Natural Gas Leader—GAIL (India) Limited, Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB)."
