
March 27, New Delhi: India's upper house of Parliament, the Rajya Sabha, has taken up the Finance Bill, 2026 for discussion after it was passed by the Lok Sabha.
Moved by Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary, the Bill aims to implement the Centre's financial proposals for the fiscal year 2026–27. The Lok Sabha cleared the Bill with 32 government amendments by voice vote, and the Upper House is now debating it before returning it for final approval.
