April 08, New Delhi: The Indian Government held its regular media briefing on Wednesday, providing updates on the evolving situation in West Asia. Officials from key ministries shared information on fuel supply, maritime operations, and support for Indian nationals.

The government stated that coordinated efforts between different ministries are ensuring stability across various sectors.

Sanjeev Kumar Kassi, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Coal, said that sufficient coal reserves are available at mines and power plants, supported by strong railway infrastructure to meet consumer demand.

The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas confirmed that LPG supplies remain normal, with adequate stock and efficient online booking and delivery systems.

Randhir Jaiswal, Official Spokesperson, Ministry of External Affairs, said that the government is closely monitoring developments in West Asia and welcomed the ceasefire, emphasizing that de-escalation, dialogue, and diplomacy remain essential for resolving the conflict.
